What you'll be doing

Working with AAA game publishers and developers to identify and deliver their needs within the Discord ecosystem including the launch of the Discord Digital Games Store and Nitro subscription service

Detailed organizational mapping of large and cross-functional gaming teams to determine decision makers and influencers.

Negotiating complex business terms around game catalogs for the purpose of securing AAA titles in both retail distribution and subscription models.

Present existing and new product features to relevant publisher partners and drive adoption and product launch.

Serve on the front lines as an AAA publisher/developer advocate in internal conversations and product roadmaps.

Provide quantitative and qualitative reports to drive continuous improvement, optimization, and innovation within the AAA gaming accounts.

Attend gaming conventions and events (E3, PAX, Gamescom, GDC, etc) to continuously drive deep relationships with publishers and developers.

What you should have

Knowledge, passion, and a solid network in the video game industry. Relationships and experience with Japanese based game publishers is a big plus!

Exceptional communication and people skills, both written and verbal.

Self-motivation and ability to develop new initiatives.

Ability to work and self-direct in a fast-paced startup environment.

Possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Attention to detail and data trend analysis/presentation.

Experience and interest in international travel to Asia and Europe.

Superb prioritization and time management.

Technical aptitude.


BA/BS or equivalent work experience.

5+ years in a business development role while working in the gaming industry.

Knowledge and usage of Discord is a plus!
