Senior Manager, Content at TuneIn

The Senior Manager, Content at TuneIn, serves a critical role within this growing organization. You would be on the front lines of broadcaster relations and act as a communication liaison to our existing programming partners. The position will include deal work associated with launching new content partnerships while supporting broadcasters promotional, editorial and ad sales campaigns within the TuneIn Directory. You would work to assist content providers on driving branding, editorial highlights, and revenue-generating campaigns to ensure they are accurately represented on our platform. A collaborative team approach will be necessary to work as a liaison between content, marketing, product, ad sales, and third-party content providers.

What You’ll Do

    • Track and maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly targets of prospective content partners from US Broadcasters, International Broadcasters, Public Radio, Network Radio, Sports Radio, News Radio, Talk Radio, College Radio, Podcasters
    • Develop and implement promotional and editorial plans for strategic content partners
    • Lead external and scheduled communication (blog & e‐mail) communication to TuneIn content partners
    • Work with key content partners to find areas that will improve the listening experience for the TuneIn audience
    • Create presentations for prospective and existing content providers that enhance their partnership with TuneIn
    • Utilize analytics to spot emerging trends within the TuneIn platform and larger digital audio universe
    • Negotiate deal terms with prospective partners.
    • Identify new content from independent producers to run in TuneIn directory, assist content rights holders on technical challenges that might be keeping them from maximizing their digital audience and revenue
    • Evaluate program submissions and develop a system to track content and materials
    • Contribute to weekly/monthly report on content opportunities available to TuneIn
    • Proactively reach out to the content community to make them aware of
    • TuneIn suite of services available to grow audience and revenue
    • Work with TuneIn programming partners on schedules and other assets in the directory
    • Liaison between content, marketing, product, legal, finance, and ad sales

What You'll Have

    • 4+ years of experience in media industries including, radio, audio, Internet radio, TV, new media, social media
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Experienced at negotiating and closing partner contracts
    • Ability to proactively troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions
    • Prior experience in a startup environment 
    • BS desirable
