About Grammarly

Grammarly’s digital writing assistant helps more than 20 million people write more clearly and effectively every day. In building a product that scales across multiple platforms and devices, Grammarly works to empower users whenever and wherever they communicate.

Job Description

Grammarly offers a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely. Teams will meet in person every quarter in one of Grammarly’s hubs, currently in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Kyiv. To ensure that teams are able to overlap in their working hours and to meet face-to-face when needed, all team members need to live within three time zones of their direct team.

The opportunity

Grammarly empowers people to thrive and connect, whenever and wherever they communicate. Every day, 30 million people and 30,000 teams around the world use our AI-powered writing assistant. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Sales Engineer to join our fast-growing Grammarly Business team. The role will build Grammarly Business into a thriving global B2B offering, including setting the bar high for impact in key deals and taking the responsibility to accelerate growth.

Your impact

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring successful deals—by showcasing our product, running successful POVs (proof of value programs), overcoming objections, and working closely with our Product, Marketing and Engineering teams. You will also help build out the necessary tools and processes to accelerate deals and make the team more effective and efficient.

As a member of the Grammarly Business Sales Engineering team, you will work collaboratively with your peers to build out these functions. You will also work to improve upon all processes within the Sales Engineering team, including value realization, security posture, demonstration materials, and the technical onboarding of our customers. You will work as a mentor/mentee with the rest of the Sales Engineering team to provide your unique perspective as you gain more experience working at Grammarly and with Grammarly prospects and customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Take part in some of Grammarly Business’s largest deals.
  • Inform Product, Marketing and Engineering to improve the Grammarly Business roadmap and messaging.
  • Be central to building up a successful end-to-end revenue machine.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
  • Relentlessly sets and pursues short- and long-term goals.
  • Is passionate about working with prospects and customers to deepen relationships, find solutions, and close deals.
  • Is analytical and able to think through and position Grammarly’s product as a solution to our customers’ most critical problems.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively—particularly with Product, Engineering, and Product Marketing teams.
  • Works effectively with Security, IT and related teams to ensure client confidence and solve specific client needs.
  • Applies an understanding of SaaS business models to identify and shape solutions.
  • Uses data to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Communicates effectively.

Support for you, professionally and personally

  • Professional growth: We hire people we trust, and we give team members autonomy to do their best work. We also support professional development with training, coaching, and regular feedback.
  • A connected team: Grammarly builds products that help people connect, and we apply this mindset to our own team. We have a highly collaborative culture supported by our EAGER values. We also take time to celebrate our colleagues and accomplishments with global, local, and team-specific events and programs.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Grammarly offers all team members competitive pay along with a benefits package that includes superior health care. We also offer support to set up a home office, ample and defined time off, gym and recreation stipends, admission discounts, and more.

Please note that Grammarly’s COVID-19 vaccination policy requires that all team members in North America be vaccinated against COVID-19 to meet in person for Grammarly business or to work from a North America hub location. It is expected that this will be a requirement for this role. Qualified candidates in North America who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons or because of a sincerely held religious belief may request a reasonable accommodation to this policy. For Ukraine, this policy requires team members to be vaccinated or produce a daily negative COVID-19 test administered at the Kyiv hub to work from the hub or attend in-person meetings.
